ACRE Basic Certification Training - Hermitage PA 12/11-12/13/2019

The Arc of Pennsylvania’s Making Employment Work is an ACRE Basic Certification training course. Our course requires participants to complete an in-person training and an online course. The in-person training lasts 3 days. The online course will be made available to participants after completing the in-person training. The online course is self-paced. Completing this certification course will qualify individuals to provide Supported Employment services with Pennsylvania’s Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and Office of Developmental Programs. This course offers benefit to both veterans of the industry and new professionals beginning their career in supported employment. Our training combines lessons learned from traditional Supported Employment and Customized Employment techniques. Course topics include:
• History and values of supported employment services
• Individualized assessments and employment/career planning with an overview of Discovery
• Community research and job development with an overview of Customized Employment
• Developing workplace and related supports with an overview of Systematic Instruction

When: In-person training takes place on December 11-13, 2019 from 8:30am to 3:30pm. The online portion of our certification course must be completed in 30 days and is self-paced. It will be available to participants immediately after the in-person training.

Who is this for: Providers of Supported Employment Services

Price: $150 per person.

Technical Requirements: Participants will need a computer, Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox for their internet browser, and an internet connection capable of streaming video (minimum of 300 kbps).

Registration: Limit to 3 people per agency. Attendees beyond 3 per agency will be accommodated on a first come/first serve ‘waiting list’ until class is at capacity.

Accessibility Accommodations: The Arc of Pennsylvania will do its best to fulfill reasonable requests for accommodations. Requests for accommodations must be made at least 30 days prior to the event. To request accommodations, please email registration@includemepa.org.

Reimbursement: Upon successful completion of certification requirements:
• Registration will be refunded to registrant
• Up to $25 will be reimbursed, with completed travel reimbursement request form

Refunds: Refunds will not be provided for registrants who fail to show up or for cancellations that occur after December 5, 2019.
