The Essential Elements of Systematic Instruction for Teaching Job Skills

Intentional Teaching is a set of data-driven strategies used to teach essential job skills that can be adapted to individuals of all abilities and learning styles. Attendees will participate in a single day of online training to learn the methods of Systematic Instruction and descriptive note taking.

Skills Learned:

  • Systematic Instruction
  • Job analysis will help instructors identify the essential tasks and responsibilities of a job which can be used to develop a foundation for a teaching plan.
  • Task analysis will enable instructors to identify and analyze job skills into teachable steps which can be customized to an individual’s learning style.
  • Systematic Instructional strategies is a blend of teaching strategies that engages the learner and greater ownership over the learning process which can be adapted to any student.

Descriptive Note Taking and Data Collection

  • Descriptive note taking and data collection will teach instructors how to create a data collection system which will inform the overall teaching process. Descriptive note taking will allow instructors to track the student’s performance, supports utilized, and overall progress.

Certification:
Participants will earn a certificate of completion

Price:
$120 per person

Course Requirements:
This is an online course hosted over Zoom, a web conferencing service. Participants will need a computer with a webcam.
